The Voigtlander 50mm F1.0 lens is specifically designed for the Nikon Z camera, providing exceptional sharpness and optical performance. With a 12-aperture blade, it offers a smooth and pleasing bokeh. The lens is built with high-quality and solid construction and has a minimum focus distance of 45 cm, allowing for precise focusing with the manual focus option.
The goal of this lens development was to create a large aperture and high-performance lens with a compact design. This was achieved by using a specially ground front lens made of high refractive index glass material which allowed to simplify the lens configuration without compromising image quality and limited the lens length to 66.6mm. Additionally, the lens uses floating elements that adjust the position of a certain group of lenses depending on the shooting distance, ensuring consistently clear and sharp images.
This advanced technical effort results in top image quality and offers a wide range of image design options. The lens produces sharpness in the edge areas and has impressive bokeh with an open aperture.
